Movie Night. Breakfast at Tiffany's

I have an up and coming project for college which I am primarily basing on old movies and movie icons. So, I have a ridiculous amount of classic movies to watch to help 'inspire me' (what a hard task huh!). Tonight I watched the fab Audrey Hepburn in 'Breakfast at Tiffany's', fab movie I'm sure you will all agree. I thought I would do a little post (since I have barely been posting) on some outfit ideas inspired by the movie.

Friday night movie , Pretty in pink

The 1986 classic, about a working class, high school senior Andie who falls in love with one of the 'preppy rich kids' named Blaine. But obviously the love story is not plain sailing. . . both Andie an Blane struggle to make their relationship work because of influences from their social peers.

Lovely film, great to chill out and watch on a lonely Friday night on your own, plus you got to love Andie's best friend Lona. With her crazy yet likable style.



Cant say I'm a massive 80s fan, especially this 'home made' prom dress pictured above on Andie.

I carried a watermelon

Love, love, love this film, such a typical girlie movie and I LOVE it. I don't need to tell you the name of this movie do I? Ok I will, just to refresh any memories...DIRTY DANCING of course! This film always leaves you feeling girlie and tapping your feet to the classics songs, that also seem to ALWAYS get played somewhere on a Saturday night, where you end up swinging your friend from one end of the bar to another to attempt a dirty dancing re-enactment (c'mon ladies we've all done it).

Think I mite dig out my old dirty dancing cd to play before I head out on the town tonight!
